Where does the safari start and end?


At the airstrip of Sipalay city

When does the safari start?

The flight leaves around 8am.

When does the safari end?

Arrival in Sipalay City is between 3pm and 4pm

Do I need to be Advanced diver or higher?

Holding an AOWD certification or higher is advised in order to be able to join for all the dives. There are dives, for which the prerequisite is an AOWD certification. But you can of course pass your AOWD in no more than 2 days with us prior to your safari.

Do I need to do a check dive before the safari?

Yes, for your own safety we ask you to do a check dive with us prior to sailing out.

How many divemaster are on board?

In general we do have one multilingual European dive instructor and one local divemaster on board. If you would like to have your own dive guide, we can of course arrange one for an additional charge.

How do I reach Sipalay from Bacolod or Dumaguete?

With a Van and driver. We would be please to arrange such a transfer for you. For the more adventurous, there are buses or freelance driver around the airports. On request we will arrange a 25 minutes air transfer for you.

Can you arrange my transfers?

We do arrange any kind of transfer from any point oft he Philippines.

How do I book my accommodations prior and after my safari?

We see us as your competent partner for all your Philippine destinations and will find and book the solution fitting your needs best.

I need domestic flights to reach Sipalay, how do I proceed?

Either on your own via any internet portal or we do all the necessary for you, adapted to your journey.

What is included in the price?

Accommodation in simple and charming double rooms.Meals: breakfast, lunch and diner.

What equipment parts are mandatory?

Each diver has to bring an own dive computer and a visible surface signalling device. We do offer the possibility to buy or rent those in our shop.

What is the amount of the marine park fees?

300.-php per day as of 1.1.2017

Is nitrox available?

No.

Are 15l tanks available?

No.

How is the weather in Cagayan?

In general the weather does not change much during the year. Air temperature are around 30°C and water is between 27°C and 30°C. It is dry from December to April and a little bit more humid from Mai to November. This region is prone to monsoon tendencies, meaning north east (amihan) trades from November to March and south west (habagat) from June to October.

How is the catering?

The day begins with a hearty breakfast consisting of bacon and eggs, Cereals, pancakes and such as well as Asian style, like tocinos with rice and eggs. Lunch is a simple yet tasty Asian or European dish. A mouth watering diner is served after the night dive. Since Cagayan is quite a bit remote, the food is kept relatively simple yet varied, freshly prepared and seasonal. Our cook is doing his choice at the market personally to give you the best possible experience.

How much luggage is allowed?

Maximum 15 kg per person. There is the possibility to rent equipment on site.

How is the accommodation?

Those are simple yet charming rooms without aircon with their own terrace. Power supply is only until 11pm. You do have the possibility to charge your gadgets on board.

Is there Cell phone signal?

There is SMART and GLOBE 3G Cell phone signal in Cagayan

How do I get on and off board?

With a rubber dinghy with an outboard engine.

Do I need diver insurance?

We generally do recommend one anyway to all divers.

Do I need a trip cancellation insurance?

This is a personal choice and has to be considered by one self.

How much is the equipment rental?

750 Pesos per day

Do you take credit cards?

No. We accept bank transfers to our Philippines or German accounts or pay pal payments.

What are the payment terms?

Minimum down payment of 20% within 10 days of reservation. Full payment latest 30 days before the trip.

What are the cancellation policies?

Cancellation up to 60 days before the journey we refund the full amount (except bank charges if any)

59-31 days before journey, 20% cancellation fee

30-14 days before journey, 50% cancellation fee

14 days before journey, no refund

All cancellations are to be in written

What if a safari is cancelled?

In the unlikely event that a safari has to be cancelled, we will return the full amount and propose an alternative program.

How is your disclaimer of responsibility?

Easy Diving is not liable for full or partial trip cancellation due to bad weather, technical issues, not enough participants, force majeur or unforeseen events. Easy Diving will do everything possible and in its power to propose an alternative.
